Somehow I managed to convince Floyd to explore the ice breaker alone this morning. I worked on marina reservations and such while he went off to learn all he could about ice breakers. We were all happy. We came out of TUMBLEWEED at 10:30 to board the ferry for Mackinaw Island and immediately knew we'd be mingling with the masses. It was the longest line we'd seen...but ever the eager tourists...we joined right in. We've gotten several language lessons up here...For example...folks who live in the upper peninsula are referred to as yuppers, those who live under the Mackinaw Bridge are referred to as trolls, and those of us who are tourists and come here to buy the fudge are referred to as fudgees. There are those who move here and they are perma-fudge. Then after the day on the island we learned all about Road Fudge...a horse product!!!!
