As we were preparing to leave Green Turtle Bay, a rather LOUD voice hailed the TUMBLEWEED...much to our surprise it was Rick and Pam aboard the TOURIST pulling out of a slip across the way. It has been three years of hopscotching with Floyd's classmate from Chapman's...we are on the river together. We quickly made plans to meet at Paris Landing for happy hour and so the good times begin!!! Fall foliage around here is just starting to turn...made for pleasant and interesting scenery. Much better than the 100+ degree heat we experienced when we were here three years ago!!!! The most interesting part of our travel yesterday was passing this boat with a calliope...blasting away the Stars and Stripes...needless to say they didn't respond to our radio thank you...I think the music was so loud they couldn't hear us...while it was interesting, I was sure glad I was a passenger on that one!!!!
