Ten hour drive back to Grand Rivers was pretty uneventful...well, except for that little stop we made because of the red and blue flashing lights in our rear view mirror!!!! Seems that in the middle of no where on that four lane highway the speed slowed to 55mph. Linda failed to adjust accordingly. He said I was going 69mph.... He took one look inside the car...(we sort of resembled the Klampets...seat cushions, luggage, assorted bags and candy wrappers)...said to please slow down, esp. just ahead at another 55 mph zone (trap)...have a nice day...and we were outta there. (no tickie, no tickie!!!) Floyd is still in shock. As a former cop, he couldn't believe what he saw. Thought I was dead meat! We did stop in Joplin at Stone Gardens for a tour and a lovely lunch...and in Pudacuh for supper. Arrived at TUMBLEWEED around 8:30...schlepped and unloaded...First thing tomorrow we visit the local grocery store and then turn in this speedy white charger...LOL...one of the priciest rentals we've had...not because of Enterprise, but because of our lead feet!!! We plan to leave Green Turtle on Wednesday.
