We have loved noticing the caves along the Tennessee River. And we hear stories about the bat population that lives in them... haven't encountered any and really don't want to... but the caves are somethings different for us.

This is another thing we notice...this huge gauge tells the elevation of the water surface above sea level. Our boating charts give us the elevation at normal pool....which means the Captain can do the math and figure water depth and our clearance. I just use the little ol' depth finder!!! HEHEHE
