But alas, the powers that control the boats had other plans...anchor dropped and held just like it was suppose to...stern anchor went ashore just like clockwork...dinner of BIG salad was enjoyed...Captain and Crew showered and were cooling off nicely...when...eeeerrrrkkkk, generator stopped. The silence was deafening!!! 7:30 pm ...no generator meant no more AC...temp inside was about 75 then and outside temp was still showing 100...we still had an hour of daylight...no amount of prayer or cussing would get the generator to start...geez, it was one long, long miserable hot night...but there was nothing anyone could do...so we went to our cabins and suffered through the night. Needless to say, we got underway the next morning as soon as it was light enough to see...the one time I voted for O'dark thirty...We pulled into our covered shady dock at Grafton Marina soon after noon....plugged in, fired up those ACs, visited the pool while the cabin cooled and didn't move much the rest of the day. On the hottest day of our summer boating, we spent the hottest night of our summer...it was unpleasant, miserable and ugly...let's not talk about it any more!!!!

Congrats you two! Glad to see you made it. Truly a trip you won't forget. Floyd, the crew at Chapman's would be proud of you!
We are currently at N. Point Marina waiting on the waves to subside.
