We've learned to be safe...better to stop too soon than continue into stormy weather. With black clouds gathering and lots of yellow showing on the weather radar....oh, and the fact that they sold Kawartha ice cream at Lock 6....we decided to stop and let the weather pass. Trent-Severn Canal locks all seem to be well maintained and staffed and the real plus is that there is plenty of docking before and after each lock. We were tied up in no time....walked to purchase our ice cream...sprinkles started as we got back to the boat. Before we finished eating, the clouds blew over and once again we were under way.
