Up and at 'em... Ready to go...but then oops! That low Amtrak bridge four miles in doesn't open during rush hour traffic...probably should have read that last night before going to bed. Dakota and I could have slept a bit longer...oh well ...such is the life of this first mate....and looks like we are going to get a little wet today...sprinkles in the forecast...rain this afternoon. But we're on the river! Shouldn't be an issue...though the barges, bridges, current and locks will step in to take over!!
Last time we did this leg of the journey, we had crew aboard! Becky Bauman, I'm missing your assistance and humor!! Dakota is not much help...more of a supervisor type...watching watching watching your every move!
