After the Captain woke and took over the helm, I took some temperature readings. He's been telling me for days, weeks, months, years that the blue canvas on TUMBLEWEED produces heat. So on a clear day, when the temp is 82 headed to 87 at about 3 in the afternoon...I took temp readings in a couple of places. Our play pen cover (blue canvas) registered 144 degrees....fried eggs anyone???? Who wants to sunbathe on that??? No one!!!! The Fly bridge cover (also blue canvas) registered 120 degrees....are you freaking kidding me??? We have to stand under that to drive the boat!!!! While the aft deck (white cover) registered only 90 degrees....so yes, when the cash rolls in we are opting for some new white canvas....and gonna have some insulation added....this is ridiculous!!!!
