May 30…excitement on the water today as we tried to rescue a lost paddle boat…found on the side of the river…we towed for a while. Floyd made a couple of phone calls thinking we’d find a taker and be on our way…WRONG… marina out of business, lockmaster ahead doesn’t want it, he says call sheriff. Sheriff doesn’t have access to a boat he says call Tennessee River Authority … finally, they agreed to come get it… and we left it once again in the middle of the river… it was a pretty nice one …someone somewhere is missing it.
