We were wanting to anchor but felt that with the heat we’d better find a marina and gas…lots of places to choose from…but they all kept saying, "sorry, we are full"….yet, we knew we hadn’t seen much boat traffic…well, seems that tornado season had hit these marinas hard. Ones that weren’t hit were full of boats from the other places. Island Cove where lots of Loopers stay is pretty much closed to travelers. We finally found space at Pine Harbor…but they warned us about the low clearance on the bridge…good thing too…Floyd lowered our antennae and we cleared by a whopping 6 inches….you can see the dent where others didn't make it!!!
