Thursday in the Windy City...we got plans to mingle with the masses! Short walk and mass transit bus ride to Wrigley Field ...met our friend, MaryEllen Hendricks, for an early lunch at Yak-sees...then found scalp tickets that were awesome (first base side, on the aisle, mid way up)(not cheap...but not overpriced either)...did a little shopping  (those grandsons need Cubs wear)....helped the Cubs win over the Texas Rangers without freezing...headed to the El train a little early only to be caught in the mad exit because it had started to rain...we managed just fine...and returned to the TUMBLEWEED in a light drizzle.... Dakota was well rested. So once the rain cleared, we played squeaky ball until he couldn't keep up! Tonight we have reservations at our favorite...WEBER GRILL RESTAURANT (which happens to be across the street from a grocery store)....so we'll be stocked and ready for action. We'll be celebrating...no more locks or skanky river!! KJ...Jack Daniels...beef!!

Tomorrow is Floyd's actual birthday...though he has been celebrating for awhile...we plan to head to Hammond, Indiana...14 miles (2 hours) ..around noon...cause a man should drive his boat on his birthday! And he'll get to fly his Indiana flag....anything to keep the man happy!!
