Tall Timbers...Havana, Illinois ...small small marina in a small small town....not much there...but gas and Dollar General. Oh, and this time the boat MAD HOUSE III... we locked through Starved Rock with them at O’dark thirty...since they travel at 30 mph, we were left in their wake. Didn’t think we’d encounter them again. But it seems some issues with new boat to them maintenance kept them here an extra day. They were fun to chat with...and we’re both heading south tomorrow. We’re trying to make Grafton in one day...120 miles and one lock....which we think is wickets down/ pass over!
We plan to leave at 6AM... hope we don’t wake them up! But we will....these big engines aren’t exactly quiet!
