Even in the haze...nothing compares to crossing in front of Miss Liberty in your own boat...
We were amazed when Dakota perked up and began to look around...he's never much interested in the traveling...just the docking...but it was like even he knew this was pretty special...
the harbor is a busy...crazy busy place...all those ships, ferries and sailboats...at least this time we didn't have to deal with the restrictions of the Redbull Air Race...even with not one, but two, Statten Island ferries...we found the harbor not so rocky rolly...
Turn left at the Colgate Clock...stop for a pump out and we are in the slip before you know it....
FIELD TRIP and IRISH LADY are here...SEA VENTURE followed us in. Spent most of the afternoon catching up...and arranging for tickets to the shows we want to see...I scored on KINKY BOOTS and THE AUDIENCE.... Floyd and I decided to go across the canal to Edward's Steakhouse (a great place we found five years ago) to celebrate with friends...we are in NYC and we think we finally have a new boat! We are hard pressed to think of something we haven't replaced, fixed, or worked on since 2008...so TUMBLEWEED is new and improved...(lol we'll see just how long that lasts...)
