Friday ...hot hotter hottest...and humidity you could cut...we elected to do a little cleaning (inside and out) and hang close to the boat knowing that we were headed into the city for the evening performance of KINKY BOOTS. We said good bye to FIELD TRIP and IRISH LADY TOO...and hello to RED RANGER, RHONDA JEAN, DIADEMA (dogs Mona and Lilly) and ZENDO. Oh, and hello four sail boat full of Navy men and women (boys and girls, really). It was a busy day at Liberty Landing.

We left at 6 PM to make all the necessary connections transportation-wise to make the 8 PM show...water taxi, subway, walk walk walk...KINKY BOOTS was fabulous!!!! Lola (Billy Porter) and his drag queen posse rescues a struggling shoe factory and teaches the workers a thing or two about acceptance. It was full of sexual innuendos and lovely cross dressers...music by Cindi Lauper...we sat in the next to the back row ...on the isle...and those were the cheap seats at $106 each....worth every penny.

Getting home was an event as the water taxi quits running at sundown...so finding the PATH train proved a challenge...probably because rather than following our plan, we joined with some other folks from the marina who claimed to know the way....yea, not so much...so subway (yep, saw a rat) PATH,  and two taxi rides later...we are back at midnight thirty. Way passed our normal bedtime!!!

Lindsay and her girls are on tap for tomorrow...we are having fun now!!!!
