We had tickets to see THE AUDIENCE with Helen Mirren on Sunday  (June 14) afternoon...Bev and Ron from SEA VENTURE wanted to go into the city...ride the PATH train and subway...so we made plans to leave the marina/island together...travel to theater district together then go our separate ways...we convinced another tourist to take a photo before the water taxi arrived...aren't we a good looking bunch!

then being silly on the subway...

Then before we got too steamy and hot...there we were. It is amazing to me that the theaters are small...audiences are usually very full...but they don't open doors until thirty minutes ahead of showtime...and folks stand in long lines to file in ever so politely! The play was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS...all based on those private one hour meetings the Queen has with the Prime Minister every week. Yes, it has been going on for sixty years...twelve Prime Ministers...from Churchill to Cameron. We got an inside peak at them all...not necessarily in order...and sometimes Helen went from mature Queen to young Queen to dressed to the nines Queen without ever leaving the stage. History, humor and a great reveal of Floyd's cousin Lizzy....We loved every minute!!

A short subway ride and a long walk around and through the WTC back to the water taxi...and who should we meet...Ron and Bev...we couldn't have planned for that to happen. they plan to head north tomorrow.

Back on board the TUMBLEWEED we said good bye to the folks from RHONDA JEAN by introducing them to our favorite after dinner liquor...43...and why is it that when you introduce it to others you seem to consume more than your share??? Then the rain came...we will probably delay our scheduled  NYC excursion tomorrow to rest up from all this going and coming...coming and going. We've got plenty of time...not planning to leave here until Thursday...and we might need to plan ahead for that...oh, and laundry....always the laundry!!!
