On Friday, May 7th, Gene and Floyd headed off to tour The House of the Temple (just off DuPont Circle) and then to Alexandria to visit the George Washington Masonic National Memorial (setting for many scenes in THE LOST SYMBOL). Since they are both active in the Scottish Rite, this was on their "must do" list. I, on the other hand, went off to Occoquan with Kathy for shopping and girlie lunch. The boys were disappointed to discover a misprint in the tour guide ... the House of the Temple was closed on Fridays. The tour of the Alexandria site made up for that. Interestingly, we managed to meet at the King Street metro stop to ride back to DC and walk to the marina together. We are just lucky that way!
