Sunday's weather was more than a little brisk and windy. Temperature was in the 50s and winds gusted to 50. Captain decided early on that this would NOT be our day to leave. With another play day, Gene and I decided to head off to Arlington Cemetery. It is one of my favorites and he hadn't ever seen it. We discovered Mother's Day treat. The National VFW War Mother's group was hosting a special ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknowns. They presented flowers for each of the states and then a "laying of the wreath"...posting the colors and their white uniforms...made it a once in a life time site for us. Glad we went!!! Floyd's allergies kept him down most of the day...but he was feeling better by the time we returned. We braved the crowds at the open air fish market. We had hoped to find Rockfish fillets...but had to settle for tilapia instead. Did the taste test...some cooked with Peter's Garlic pepper and some with Old Bay...sorry, Peter, this time Old Bay wins.
